The Story

‘Having worked my way into senior leadership and executive positions of large corporate organisations such as Sogeti, part of Capgemini, and Camelot, the operator of the UK National Lottery, some may say I've had a successful career thus far, and for which I am truly grateful. However, in the last few years, for me there was something still missing.

I didn’t feel energised, I didn't feel excited, I didn’t feel content and I didn’t know why. What I did know however was that it was affecting my confidence, my wellbeing, my motivation and, to an extent, my self worth, and therefore I had to do something about it. 

It wasn’t until I invested in, and took time to really understand my greatest talents that I saw the misalignment between ‘what’ I was doing versus what I ‘should’ be doing. I quickly realised that I needed to change my situation in order to truly play to my strengths - not only for myself, but also the loved ones around me, so I can be my best self at work and at home.

Embarking on a journey of self discovery, understanding my values, digging deep into my purpose and ‘why’, and then intentionally applying (on a daily basis) what I’m naturally good at, brought me to becoming a transformational mindset coach and setting up Innate Compass. Coupled with my passion for helping people and teams get from good to great or even from strong to superb, I realised that coaching is my true calling’.

The Vision

My vision is simple - to see a world where everyone can live to their full potential through what they are naturally great at.

Too often in today's society we are fixated on our weaknesses. When we consider growth and development our instinct is to look for mistakes and opportunities for improvement. We focus on the skills we lack and this approach actually limits our opportunities for greatness.

Instead, by adopting a strengths based mindset we allow ourselves to focus on what we do best and what we thrive on. By investing time, knowledge and skills in our talents we become even stronger and as a result we see greater productivity and increased results in all aspects of life.

Fixing our weakness will of course prevent failure, but when we build upon our strengths, this leads to our excellence.

The Journey

As a transformational mindset coach, I allow people and teams to see things with a new perspective — a new way to view themselves, their work, their colleagues and the world around them.

My role is not to give answers, but instead sit in the passenger seat and support your growth as you drive through unfamiliar territory or moments of change.

The journey is never one size fits all. Instead it’s bespoke to each client’s situation and I have a number of paths to choose from to meet your personal or team requirements and ambitions.

For individuals, we’ll first establish our coaching relationship, getting to know each other better and collaboratively defining the objectives of our journey. Following that we will start to dig deeper into who you are, and how your uniqueness plays a role in your current life and how we can strengthen those talents so that they make an even more positive impact on your future. We’ll do this using a combination of proven coaching techniques and assessment tools, plus deep and meaningful discussions that are centred around powerful questioning and objective listening.

As we uncover new insights we will likely agree on things for you to take action on, and so throughout I will also act as your accountability coach, keeping you on track towards your objectives and helping you achieve the outcomes you desire.

For teams, we’ll first understand the current climate, dynamics, productivity and ambitions of the team and set the scene for why a strengths based mentality and leadership style is so important to achieve these ambitions. We’ll then spend time with each team member helping them to better understand their own talents at a deeper level, connecting with what value they bring to the team’s dynamics. Following this we’ll combine everyone's talents together so that you can learn more about your colleagues and view the collective strengths of the team, discussing how best to use these for success through partnerships and collaborations, but also how to navigate and manage any areas of weakness or lesser strength.

The Results

My one to one clients gain the clarity and direction they need to achieve their goals and ambitions by really understanding and using their talents and strengths on a daily basis. They leave highly motivated and energised for the future with more confidence in themselves to navigate around future opportunities or challenges, moving forward when they are stuck and reaching their greatest potential in whatever it is that they choose to put their mind to.

My Corporate and Team clients gain a deeper level of understanding about themselves, their colleagues and of the team overall. This helps evolve approaches on how to achieve team goals and ambitions, fosters greater working partnerships and collaborations, helps drive more productive performance conversations and contributes to increased engagement and staff retention.
